Writing Groups
The Work in Progress groups provide a supportive space for women to share their unique voices and empower their members. Our passion for storytelling not only enriches our own lives but also inspires us to develop our writing skills through constructive feedback on each other’s projects, especially in regional and rural Queensland. WWQ has five groups with various options:
WORD WEAVERS
We are a diverse, inclusive group of writers wishing to fulfil our personal writing journey by providing feedback and encouragement to each other with our novel writing.
Round Robin
We are a group of writers who share our current work via email. We seek feedback and answers to questions about writing, editing, formatting and publishing. This group is open, accepting & encouraging.
Bilbies
An enthusiastic group of young writers from rural Queensland keen to grow our writing skills, learn from experienced writers and share the joy of writing our stories.
Women of Words
A vibrant collective of female authors who celebrate the power of the written word, concentrating on short stories. Through their dedication, "Women of Words" nurtures a legacy of literary excellence and innovation.
Clever Pens
We are a supportive and enthusiastic online group living in Western Queensland, Bribie Island and Brisbane. We use a prompt and email our story of 500-1000 words to the group for feedback. A diverse group of writers, from beginners to experienced writers
