Our next Article competition will be in 2027.

Rules

1. This competition is open to members of the Society of Women Writers Qld Inc.  
2. Entry is $5 per entry or $12 for three entries. Maximum 3 entries.

4. Do not attach the entry form to your work.
5. Manuscripts must be unpublished, not on offer for publication before the announcement of the competition, and not have been recognised in any other competition.
6. We accept entries in hard copy or via email. Addresses below.
7. Articles must be double-spaced using Times Roman 12 point on one side of A4 paper and must not exceed 1200 words.
8. The name of the writer must not appear on the entry however the title of the work must appear in the header, and the page number in the right of the footer.
9. Manuscripts will be responsibly destroyed or deleted. Entrants should keep a copy of their work. Copyright remains with the author.
10. Entries must be postmarked no later than the due date, or emailed by close of business on the due date. Late entries will not be considered.
11. The judge’s decision is final. Results will be announced, and prizes presented at our monthly meeting on 12 August. Winners will also be announced in our newsletter. Winners not able to attend the August meeting will be notified.
