The Mocco Wollert Poetry Award

Rules

This competition is open to all members of the Society of Women Writers Qld Inc.
Entry is $5 per entry or $12 for three entries. Maximum 3 entries.
All entries must be accompanied by an official entry form – download this link:
Do not attach the entry form to your work.
All entries must be the original work of the author, not published in part or whole (extracts from publicly available works including blogs are not eligible), not on offer for publication before the announcement of the competition and not have won a cash prize in any other competition.
The use of AI-assisted technologies is permissible for checking spelling and grammar and concept development. However, the final submission must be the original work of the author.
We accept entries in hard copy or via email. Addresses below.
Poems must be double-spaced using Times Roman 12 point on one side of A4 paper.
The name of the writer must not appear on the entry however the title of the poem must appear in the header.
Entries will be responsibly destroyed or deleted. Entrants should keep a copy of their work. Copyright remains with the author.
Entries must be postmarked no later than the due date, or emailed by close of business on the due date. Late entries will not be considered.
The judge’s decision is final. Results will be announced, and prizes presented at our monthly meeting on ??. Winners will also be announced in our newsletter. Winners not able to attend the August meeting will be notified.
