Women Writers Queensland invites you to lunch with Qld author Kristina Olsson for a chat about writing memory and the problem with ‘truth’.

Kristina Olsson knows about memory and the problem of writing ‘the truth’. She is an award-winning writer of non-fiction, fiction and journalism. Her 2013 memoir, Boy, Lost, garnered multiple national and state awards for literature, and her most recent novel, Shell, was the first Australian book published by Scribner, the legendary publishers of Hemingway and F Scott Fitzgerald. Kristina is currently writing a work of hybrid non-fiction that looks at homelands through the lens of memoir, deep history, mythology, and the vexed notion of belonging on invaded land.

Come for the food. Come for the fun. Come to hear award-winning author Kris Olsson speak about writing authentic life stories. Be inspired to document your story or the story of someone you know.
